The base of the catcher attaches to a bar that goes between the two wheels, and a hanging strap on the back of the catcher hooks into part of the handle, keeping the back of the grass catcher off the ground. Once the bag is full of grass clippings, it is easy to remove from the mower with a lift of the handle on top and back of the bag. Simply empty the grass clippings into a trash bag or compost pile.
